Our hip joints and lower back are intimately linked through shared muscles, bones, and nerves that are the largest in the body. They work together in a coordinated way to enable movement and function as the support center for our entire structure. Mobility limitations of the hip joints can influence the lower back to overcompensate, which can lead to stiffness and pain in the lower back. According to the research, 8 out of 10 Americans will experience back pain in their lifetime, which costs the US economy hundreds of billions of dollars annually.
In this eight-week series, we will ease out of stiffness and pain, finding mobility, stability, and trust in this incredible power center of the body. Feldenkrais lessons provide a safe and effective way for you to revive your flexibility without stretching or straining. This series will help you understand your hips and lower back and give you protective and restorative lessons that you can use for lifelong self-care.
